Elaine Burkey
Elaine Burkey is currently serving as a Deacon. She is also on the Mission Committee and a member of the Women’s Association. She grew up Presbyterian, and then became Methodist when she married her husband Fred. Two years ago, Elaine decided to look for a new church closer to their daughter’s house. It was Elaine’s daughter Amy Green who suggested that she check out a nearby church that had advertised in the local Christmas parade two years earlier. At this parade Elaine’s grandchildren had received a small bag of candy with a note of welcome attached to it, and an invitation to attend Sunday services. Currently Elaine and Fred, along with their daughter Amy and her family are members of the church that invited them, The First Presbyterian Church of Harrison. |
