Meeting Place and Times: Practice is every Thursday night beginning at 7:30pm in the music room located on the second floor. We perform each Sunday during our 10:45 worship service. Babysitting is provided.

Handbell Choir

Meeting Place and Times: Practice is every Wednesday night beginning at 7:00 pm in the music room located on the second floor. Babysitting is provided. We perform approximately 2 Sundays a month for the 10:45 service only.

Cherub Choir

This choir consists of children 18 months on up to the 2nd grade. They practice each Sunday in Sunday School class.

Children’s Choir

Worship Attendants Scheduling

Summary: A booklet is compiled with all scheduled dates for the volunteers in the areas listed below. If you are interested in getting involved in any of these areas please contact Marcia Merse or Ellen Kleinjohn to be added to the rotation. Training is available in all of these areas.

  • Usher/Greeter: Greet people coming into church, along with directing them when needed. Assist with handing out bulletins, and collection of tithes and offerings. Usher/greeters serve approximately once a month on a rotating basis.
  • Liturgist: Meet with the pastor before the service to go over their reading duties required for the service. Liturgists serve approximately every 3 months on a rotation basis.
  • Moments with Children: You would be responsible for sharing a Bible story with the children during “Moments with Children” in the beginning of the worship service.
  • Communion Servers: One must be ordained as a Deacon, Elder, or Minister of Word and Sacrament to prepare and serve communion. Communion is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of the month for the 10:45 service and every Sunday for the 8:30 service. Communion servers will serve approximately 3 to 4 time a year on a rotating basis
  • Acolyte/Cross bearer: This is for children grades 4th through 8th grade. They participate in the 10:45 Worship Service by lighting and distinguishing the candles on the altar and processing in and out with the processional cross.

Children’s Worship

Children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade are invited to Children’s Church during the 10:45 Worship Service after Moments with Children. Children’s Worship meets in the second floor Children’s Worship room across from the Music room. Information is located in the Welcome Center.

Children’s Worship Helper and Leaders

Children’s Worship Helper and Leader teach the children’s church in 2 week intervals during the 10:45 Worship Service. These

positions are handled by volunteers, with the sign-up sheet located in Faith Hall. The curriculum is provided. We are always in need of volunteers.

Infant Nursery and Preschool Nursery

The Nursery staff begins at 9:15am and provides infant care for the Sunday School hour and both infant and toddler care throughout the 10:45 Worship service. Our infant Nursery is located on the first floor in the hallway nearest the elevator. The nursery staff is also supplemented with volunteers. These volunteers serve approximately every other month.

The Deacons oversee the Nursery and all the volunteers. Contact Bev Hughes 859-426-9775
